Snook Addict, inc. was established in 2014 and has since then been perfecting and innovating the submersible fish lighting industry. All of our fish lighting products are manufactured in house in SWFL and are tested for perfection. Snook Addict offers a variety of lighting options, call-in custom builds, residential as well as commercial lighting packages. Snook Addict Inc.'s HID green lighting improves waterways near outdoor living areas such as a dock, seawall, or boathouse, among other things. The microorganisms that are attracted to our underwater lighting system are the same that use natural light from the Sun and Moon to feed on algae and other microscopic meals. These microorganisms, such as zooplankton, provide an excellent food source for baitfish such as glass minnows, pilchards, and even shad. Now all you have to do is wait a little longer once these baitfish have created a ruckus. The splashes and vibrations of feeding baitfish swarming the underwater light attract larger predators such as Snook, Tarpon, Bass and many others. This is where you can enjoy nature's sounds and sights while also interacting with your very own backyard aquarium.

About our systems

The Snook Addict is designed to be completely DIY! With the provided instructions and hardware, the Snook Addict power supply box will be mounted to a piling or structure with a GFCI outlet. After your Snook Addict is mounted, attach the provided weight to the submersible bulb and lower the bulb down to the sea bottom and that’s it! With the Snook Addicts unique design, the customer has the option of adjusting their submersible bulbs depth at any time! Giving customers the options of raising the bulb closer to the surface for a brighter experience and top water fishing, as well as submerging the bulb deeper for bottom fishing and duller lighting. Snook Addict uses HID lighting ( 175watt and 400watt bulbs) in all our submersible fish lighting systems to assure you receive a durable and dependable product to withstand the harsh saltwater and freshwater conditions. HID lighting is a energy saving technology designed to reduce voltage and energy being distributed to a light bulb in order to keep energy cost down while also providing enough power to the bulb to provide an increase in temperature. This temperature in return will limit any unwanted algae and barnacle growth on the submersible bulb, while also radiating a traveling, vibrant green glow fish love. Each Snook Addict product is GFI protected and equipped with a photocell control device. Once the system is mounted with the step-by-step DIY instructions and the bulb is sunk with the provided weight, plug it in and let the system run itself. We design each system to be set-and-forget.

Why HID and not LED?

Since 2014 Snook Addict has been designing and perfecting our product and continues to do so. We are often asked why we don’t sell LED products, and in the most simplest terms… they just don’t perform as well as HID systems. LED lighting reduces the bulbs temperature and in doing so will increase the need of cleaning the product. If the product is not frequently cleaned then the performance and longevity will be greatly reduced in a saltwater environment. As HID bulbs heat up through out the night, they will burn off any unwanted algae grow and inhibit barnacles from growing on the bulb. When left plugged in and running regularly, the Snook Addict becomes a set-and-forget fishing lure for years to come!

Warranty

All Snook Addict Fish Lights come with a 2-year factory warranty. In the event of a warranty claim, please email snookaddictlights@gmail.com or call 239-710-9721. Broken/shattered light bulbs are not covered by warranty. Natural disasters and flood damage are not covered by warranty. It is the customers responsibility to remove their fish light and store in a safe place in the event of flooding/surge.
